From Dada to Ruscha, there is a long lineage of art that explores words and language in a playful way. Combining painting with AI generated text, these works explore the abstraction of language, landscape, and how meaning can shift or play the trickster in our present moment as we look toward the future.

Looking Forward is a series that prompts one to imagine not just the future but the future of how these works will evolve. Imagine what new works in this series will look like in five, ten or twenty years time as generative AI evolves (as well as the artist of course).  In tandem, the notion of landscape and our landscape (which can be divergently different things conceptually) will also be undergoing an accelerated sense of change. A timeline of sorts will emerge and that notion of time and change is an integral facet of this series.
